An inoperable fire alarm system is considered an emergency because the building cannot be left without protection. In this case, the law requires the building owner to provide a staff resource to act as a fire watch until the system is back online; constantly patrolling the building to ensure that there are no fires. This is only one of many possible scenarios that are considered a life safety emergency that requires immediate attention. In all cases, Avangard trained technicians are available to respond to emergencies 24×7 by calling (613) 223-2223.

The Bottom Line
We maintain a section in our warehouse that contains the most common parts of our customer’s life safety systems. Every time we sign a new customer on a Testing & Inspection Agreement; we will add to our inventory a selection of parts that allows us to serve this customer’s system whenever an emergency arises. This practice helps limit the length of time that the system may be inoperable along with potential firewatch costs since there is a good chance that the visiting technician will have all the required parts in his/her vehicle.
We are happy to work with any customer that requires emergency service for their life safety equipment. However, customers that have signed a Testing & Inspection Agreement with Avangard will receive a discount on labour.
